JAMES R. BURNS, LT. CMDR. (RET.) James Richard passed away peacefully June 6, 2005 in North Vancouver, BC. Jim was born September 16, 1923 in Winnipeg where he was raised. He is survived by his loving wife Corrine; children, Patrick (Carolina), Michael, Lesley (Don); sister Patricia (Eric Roberts); brother Bill (Joanne) and seven grandchildren. He will be loving missed by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Gertrude, infant sister Mary Sue, father L.W. (Pat). Jim served with the RCAF and Royal Canadian Navy for 24 years, then with Merrill Lynch for 22 years. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 14 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrew and St. Stephen Presbyterian Church, North Vancouver. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation, BC Branch, 320-1600 West 6th Ave., Vancouver, BC V6J 1R3.
